The Edgerton Neighborhood

Endowed with beautiful Edgerton and Jones Square Parks, the historic Edgerton Recreation Center and Stardust Ballroom, and dozens of beautiful and distinctive older houses and apartment buildings, the Edgerton Neighborhood offers character and convenience in the northwest quadrant of the city. Edgerton is the focus of an auspicious revival, anchored by dedicated residents, neighborhood associations, agencies, and theCity of Rochester. The 1951 National Basketball Association champion Rochester Royals played in the Edgerton Park Arena from 1945 to 1955! The neighborhood also offers includes independent businesses such as the Saratoga Pharmacy, are treasure in a world of chain drugstores.
